A Clinic Built on Honest Medical Care
The Hearing Place opened in 2010 in Sharafabad, opposite Liaquat National Hospital. Before that, Karachi patients either waited months at an ENT department or bought a device from an untrained shop vendor.
We built a third option. A proper audiological clinic with qualified specialists, accurate testing, and honest advice. One rule has held since day one. No patient gets a device recommendation without a hearing test first.

We use play-based audiometry for toddlers and visual reinforcement audiometry for infants. For school-age children in Karachi, we also set up FM classroom systems so they hear their teacher clearly over background noise.

Full Hearing Assessment
A 45-minute audiometric evaluation using calibrated equipment. We test hearing thresholds at multiple frequencies and assess speech understanding. Walk-ins are welcome Monday to Saturday, 11 AM to 8 PM.
Honest Results, Clearly Explained
We explain your audiogram in plain language. We tell you the type and degree of your hearing loss. If a medical condition needs treatment before any device, we tell you that clearly and refer you to the right specialist.
Device Selection Based on Your Needs
We recommend a device only when your test results show it will genuinely help. Device choice depends on your hearing profile, lifestyle, and budget. We carry eight international brands. We do not push the most expensive option.
Professional Fitting With REM Verification
We program the device to your audiogram. We verify the output using real-ear measurement. We adjust until measured amplification matches the prescribed clinical target. This step separates clinical fitting from retail fitting.
Follow-Up Fine-Tuning
The brain needs time to adjust to sounds it has not heard clearly for years. We schedule appointments at two-week, one-month, and three-month intervals. We adjust based on your feedback at each visit.
Lifetime Support
After your three-month review, our support continues. Visit any time for cleaning, adjustments, or a performance check. We also recommend an annual hearing test to track any changes.
